Finding the Sweet Spot



So, at my house, we don't have a whole lot of space. Well... that's not entirely true. I have space, but I don't have much space to set up my own stuff, and be able to do what I want. I have a desk, but my cat knocks everything off of it, all the time, because she's an @$$hole. I used to sit on the couch to blog, but lets face it, you can't keep your computer, pens, calendar, etc on the couch at all times. I also used to use the table, but since my kids like to stay in the living room, I always felt bad to be in another room of the house. I don't feel like I have a good solution for this. I think this is part of the reason why I can't seem to be consistent with my blogging or YouTube videos.

I have been mostly good with my diet, only a few slip ups, but I can honestly say I didn't have any Easter candy! So that's a small bonus. Otherwise, I'm still going to work out "tomorrow" whenever that may be.

I hope to update better in the future, with more stuff... just not feeling well today.

Ahh! Now Don't Start That Again!


It's already been a week since I started this blog, and I've already not posted for that week. Geezus! I gotta stop that before it starts. It's one of the reasons I killed the other blog. I just wasn't very active. I need to take this seriously! It helps me, I know it does!

Ok. So. Diet wise, I've been doing pretty good, only one slip up here and there. I'm still pretty steady in my weight, but I'm starting to look back at what I was doing before, and I think I can get a handle on this. When I first started, I lost 20 lbs in a few months. I need to get back to that. The husband has started the low carb journey with me, and has already lost 8 (turd), and I'm super proud of him!

I need to start walking on my days off. I usually get about 8,000 steps during the day at work, but on my days off, I'm lucky to get 2 or 3,000. This needs to change. It's starting to become beautiful outside, and I need to take advantage of this. I did a 5k last year at the end of March, and I think I want to try and attempt it again. I doubt I'll do it faster, but hey, it would be nice to just do it for the hell of it.

It's Time For A Change



I've fluttered and floundered at blogging since December... and go figure, I've fluttered and floundered at my diet too. I'm wondering if they go hand in hand? Maybe.... but let's say yes, just for giggles.

A little bit about me... I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of 2014. I did okay, but could have done better. Then I started a new way of eating, where basically I flipped the food pyramid upside down, and get rid of a bunch of junky processed crap. I did really good with it! Then, as the year moved on, I slowly slid off the wagon... not enough to be completely off, but definitely enough to not budge the scale. I tried to recommit several times, to no avail.

I figured out, it was my mindset! My brain wasn't in it, so I wasn't in it. Now that I have figured it out, I'm ready to get down to business. I'm ready to step up and do what I need to do to get healthy. I need to wave fat goodbye forever.
